By using this website or any Spice! Leadership product or service, you accept these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy in full. 

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this website, or have the permission of your parent or guardian. 

In these Terms of Service, the phrase “this website” includes spiceleadership.ca and all of its pages; the Spice! Leadership email newsletter; and all pages, groups or profiles operated by Spice! Leadership on social media platforms. “We” includes Spice! Leadership, its owners, directors, officers, employees, representatives, successors and permitted assigns.

Statement of Principles

Spice! Leadership is committed to the principles of empowerment, equality and respect. We believe that every person has the right to define their own identity and explore the world in a way that is authentic for them. We believe that more diversity in leadership will make the world better for everyone.

We oppose discrimination, especially on the basis of race, ethnicity, place of origin, religion/creed, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, family status or ability. We support (and offer) programs aimed at historically disadvantaged groups, with the recognition that these programs aim to correct inequalities and do not imply that other groups are less worthy or deserving.

Every participant in a Spice! Leadership event, camp, workshop or coaching session has the right to feel equally safe, supported and valued. While we encourage participants to ask tough questions and think critically about difficult leadership issues, we will not tolerate bullying, abuse, hate speech or any other behaviour that violates the spirit of this Statement of Principles.

We expect every person who uses this website or participates in a Spice! Leadership event, camp, workshop or coaching session to abide by these principles.  

Intellectual Property

Except as otherwise indicated, Spice! Leadership, together with its licensors, owns and controls all of the copyright and other intellectual property rights in this website and its contents.

However, certain photos on this website are used under open licenses and are available for public use. For more detailed copyright information about the photos on this website, please contact us.

Third-party logos displayed on this site belong to the people, business or organizations that they represent, and are not governed by these Terms of Use but may be subject to intellectual property rights and terms of use stipulated by their owners.

Third-party content shared on social media belongs to the creator or creators of that content and is subject to the owner or owners’ intellectual property rights and terms of use, if any.

Use of this Website

You may use this website and its contents only for your own personal purposes, subject to the limitations set out below.

However, you are welcome to share the newsletter, and to share any of Spice! Leadership’s posts on social media, provided that you credit Spice! Leadership for any content or material created by us.

Leadership may (but is not obligated to) monitor, edit or remove any post.

By posting on this website, you agree that Spice! Leadership may reproduce, modify, publish, display, translate or distribute your post in any media.

We reserve the right to restrict access to this website, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason. You must not circumvent or bypass, or attempt to circumvent or bypass, any access restrictions on this website.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all information you supply to us through or in relation to this website or our products or services is accurate and complete.

Events, Camps, Workshops and Coaching

By participating in or enrolling your child in a Spice! Leadership event, camp, workshop or coaching session you agree (on your behalf and on behalf of your child, where applicable) to abide by the Statement of Principles set out above. 

If any person present at a Spice! Leadership event, camp, workshop or coaching session engages in behaviour that, in the view of Spice! Leadership staff, is unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, obscene or otherwise incompatible with the Statement of Principles, that person will be given a verbal warning. If the behaviour continues, staff may have that person removed from the premises.

We reserve the right to cancel, without a refund, the registration of any person at a Spice! Leadership event, camp, workshop or coaching session who persists in such behaviour after receiving a warning from staff. We also reserve the right to refuse services to such person and to prohibit them from participating in Spice! Leadership events, camps and workshops in the future.

Disclaimers and Exclusions of Liability (a.k.a. The Small Print)

To the extent permitted by law, and except as expressly indicated, we make no representations or warranties relating to this website or our products and services. 

We will use reasonable efforts to ensure that this website is secure, but all electronic data transfers are potentially susceptible to interception by others. We also have no control over the security practices of third-party service providers. We cannot, and do not, warrant that data transfers through this website, or emails sent to and from us, will not be monitored or read by others. 

Further, while we will use reasonable efforts to include accurate and up-to-date information on this website, we make no warranties or representations as to its accuracy, timeliness or completeness. 

We will not be liable for damage or loss of any kind relating to your access to, use of or inability to use this website or from any inaccuracies in the information or in its transmission.

We will not be liable for damage or loss of any kind in relation to your use of our products and services, if such damage or loss results from circumstances or events that are beyond our reasonable control.

Breach of Terms of Use

Without prejudice to our other rights under these Terms of Use and at law, if you breach these Terms of Use in any way or if we reasonably suspect that you have breached these Terms of Use, we may:

  • send you one or more formal warnings;
  • temporarily or permanently bar your access to this website;
  • commence legal action against you, for breach of contract or otherwise; and/or
  • prohibit you or your child from participating in Spice! Leadership events, camps, workshops or coaching sessions.

Changes to Terms of Use

We may modify these Terms of Use from time to time. Any modifications will be effective upon being posted on this website. You should therefore read these Terms of Use before you place an order. Your continued use of this website after any modifications to the Terms of Use indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms of Use.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use, and your use of this website and of any product or service of Spice! Leadership, will be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Use, this website, or any product or service of Spice! Leadership will be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
